Our Support
Assistance League originated as an
extension of the Red Cross Shops established during World War I.
Founder, Mrs. Hancock Banning, felt a duty, in her own words, “To
act as a friend at any and all times to men, women and children in
need of care, guidance and assistance.”
Since 1919, National Assistance League®
has grown to
more than 110 chapters across the country.
